Willie Bell

I started my career in the mental health, social services field in 1999. I started out working as a counselor working with female adolescents at what was then Three Springs. I worked by way up from counselor to shift supervisor to family service worker to director of family services over the course of 8 years.

I left Three Springs and began work with the Alabama Department of Corrections. I was a drug treatment counselor for 2 years before I transitioned to being a contract worker for the ADOC with MHM, Inc. Working with MHM, I started out as a mental health professional doing case management serving the population at Limestone Correctional Facility. I then transitioned to working at Donaldson Correctional Facility as the Site Administrator. As Site Administrator I supervised nursing, psychiatry and recreational staff to include managing inmates in population as well as on the residential treatment units.

From there I moved from the ADOC to Bradford Health at Madison. At Bradford Madison I was a counselor working with addicted individuals to include adolescents and adults. I became the PHP coordinator within the 2 year span that I started there.

I have 18 years experiencing working with adolescents with behavior problems as well as substance abuse/use issues. I have worked with adults that have been incarcerated as well as adults with addiction. Within those 18 years experience I have also taught adult education to individuals that were court ordered adult education classes. I have worked with countless families that were involved with the aforementioned identified populations.
